The NEET Problem in Our Society

Since several years ago, the NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) problem has come into the concern of our society. As is shown in the cartoon, the children who are adults already  still live off their parents. Evidently, what the cartoon symbolically illustrates is that the NEET people have become a common phenomenon nowadays.

Inevitably, many problems relate to the NEET emergence. The first and most direct consequence, as we can see, is that they are a burden to their parents. It’s supposed to be the young generation’s duty to support their parents when their parents are old, but now, it’s all reversed. Then, comes the question of employment of the young adults. If they don’t get themselves hired, they will become a burden of the whole society. Last but not least, their behavior will affect their children who are supposed to be the future of the nation.

Considering all the above problems, it is high time that some measures were employed to fight against the NEET. First, our government should take the responsibility to make them trained and then employed. Furthermore, parents should be on the alert so as not to spoil their children into the NEET.

It is shown in the picture that an ancient man with a pair of wings is shaking hands with a modern pilot who is flying in the sky. The ability of flying like a bird is the dream of the ancient people, but now it has become a reality through repeated practice in human history. It can can be seen that the purpose of the picture is to tell us that dreams can be realized through practice.

Practice makes dream a reality can be best illustrated by the example of Michael·Jordan. As a NBA basketball player, Jordan has no excellent physical quality campared with other players and he used to work as a cleaner before he became famous. But, he never give up his dream to be the best player and keep practicing hardly. Lastly, he make his long-cherished dream come true.    Therefore, your dreams can be realized by your hard working.

Material Life and Cultural Life Should Advance side by side

The picture shows that there are two buckets for the man to carry when he advance, one is labeled material life while the other labeled cultureal life. On the one hand, we can see that material life is advanced with the man. On the other hand, cultural life is left behind.

There are many reasons responsible for the phenomenon. Firstly, since the employment of the reform and opening policy, economic development has been put on great emphasis. Secondly, our government hasn’t try to balance the development of material life and cultural life. Thirdly, people are addicted to material comforts and negelect cultural cultivation.

Considering all these reasons, I think we should take immediate measures to blance their development. For one thing, it’s our government’s responsibility to strengthen the development of cultural life to keep it in pace with the development of material life. For another, we ourselves should realize that it’s a terrible thing if we have no cultural life in such a material society. Only in this way, can our society enjoy a sound advancement.
